Dentist speaking with a beautiful Black patient about Restorative Dentistry in Bellevue, Kenmore, and Everett, WACooley Smiles Here at Cooley Smiles in Everett, WA we want all of our patients to have healthy, happy mouths. We also realize that accidents happen, which is why we offer so many valuable restorative dental options. With restorative dentistry, we aim to fix issues like cavities and tooth loss and return functionality to your mouth.

Dental Implants

Dental implants represent one of the most impressive strides in dental technology in history. Being able to replace missing teeth makes a huge difference in the quality of life for anyone who has experienced tooth loss. Being able to eat and speak as you did before tooth loss is a big deal! Dental implants even restore the loss of confidence in your smile!

Dental Fillings

There are many bacteria living in your mouth at this moment – creepy right? Everything will be fine as long as you brush and floss twice a day. As you eat meals throughout the day, these bacteria buildup on the surfaces of your teeth and brushing and flossing breaks up these bacterial colonies and washes them away. If you forget to brush and floss for long enough, you may end up needing a dental filling. Composite dental fillings can match the color of your teeth exactly!

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns offer us a way to save teeth that would otherwise cease being useful due to infection or trauma. Dental crowns act as replacement teeth that fit over the top of your natural teeth, or dental implants. Dental crowns look and act just like your real teeth, and can last for many years, even decades.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are fixed appliances that can replace missing teeth. A fixed bridge will typically consist of two porcelain crowns that are attached to metal and a replacement tooth. The crowns slip over the teeth on either side of a gap, and the replacement teeth will fill in the space left behind by a missing tooth. Dental bridges are a great way to replace one or two consecutive missing teeth. We can use your natural teeth to act as abutments, or we can place dental implants that will act as abutments.

Tooth Extraction

Your teeth perform several essential tasks – biting, chewing, controlling airflow when you speak, providing you with a beautiful smile, even maintaining the health and strength of your jawbone. Issues such as damage, decay, and infection can compromise your oral, and overall, health. At Cooley Smiles we understand the importance of your teeth and therefore do everything we can to save them. However, there are some instances in which the tooth cannot be saved, when it has severe damage, significant decay, teeth are impacted, or there is overcrowding. If any of these are the case, we can perform a tooth extraction.

Root Canal Therapy

A root canal is primarily a restorative solution for a tooth that has experienced severe decay. This procedure is used to save teeth that may otherwise need to be extracted due to extreme damage. This infection can develop as a result of cavities, crowns, large fillings, trauma, cracks, or extreme wear. If you have a cavity that gets out of control, a filling might not be enough to restore your tooth to full health – we may need to perform root canal therapy. When the infection reaches into the innermost portion of the tooth, we will need to delve deep into the tooth and remove all of the infected tissue. We will often opt to cap a root canal with a dental crown.

Composite Bonding

Dental bonding using composite material is a great way to make simple repairs to the enamel of your teeth. Long used as a filler following the removal of decay for cavities, composite is a durable material that is resistant to fracture and shaded to match your natural tooth coloring. Working with our staff at Cooley Smiles, we can make simple cosmetic enhancements as well as restorations to protect and enhance the look of your smile through cosmetic bonding.
