Brushing your teeth is a great thing to do as it keeps your teeth much healthier. Brushing too little is a bad thing, but so is brushing too much. When it comes to brushing, you should always make sure to do it two consistent times each day. Knowing what will happen if you brush more than the recommended amount of times is always good. Some people enjoy having that clean feeling in their mouth. They find ways to brush their teeth as often as possible. If this is the case for you, it is important to know whether or not there are problems associated with brushing your teeth too much. Brushing Too Many Times is Not a Good ThingBrushing too many times per day is not a good thing. You have probably heard of the saying that too much of a good thing is still a bad thing. It is true in the case of brushing your teeth.Oral hygiene is important, but you need to make sure that you do so in moderation. The recommended amount of times you should brush your teeth is two or sometimes three times per day. Brushing can cause damage to the gums and surrounding tissues, plus the enamel that coats your teeth. The irritation in the gums can lead to infection. You do not want this to happen to your mouth. Ideally, you want to be able to benefit from having smarter brushing habits such as once when you wake up and once before going to bed is plenty most of the time.
